Unfinished Ministry

Our church mission is: turning the people of Maine into wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ. Everything we do at The Rock Church is designed to facilitate this wholehearted journey. We trust God’s promise in the Scriptures which says that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

God has a plan for The Rock Church. He is working through us to cultivate wholehearted people and He is not finished! We are unfinished. Although each of us are in different places on our faith journey, we can all still know God more intimately, find greater freedom in Christ, more fully realize and live out our God-given purpose, and become more effective in how we make kingdom differences in the lives of others. So we will continue to spiritually sow into the lives of people through our weekly ministries to children, students, and adults through our staff, Dream Team, & facilities.

Our church had its first meeting in 2005 at The Bangor Motor Inn with 100 in attendance and we have been accomplishing our mission ever since that time. As we look back, we celebrate that between Bangor & Orono campuses:

  • 589 people have been baptized
  • 1267 people now regularly attend our 5 weekly services
  • 234 children are now connected with TRCKids
  • 62 students have now connected with Momentum Student Ministries
  • 341 people serve as part of the TRC Dream Team
  • 80 families are being fed at our weekly food pantry
  • We have given more than 300 bibles to children in TRCKids
  • We have ministered to 200 UMaine students at Food for Finals

We give God all of the glory and we believe that He isn’t even done yet. He has more ahead - more than we could even ask or imagine!
